What Motivates You?

Challenging moments have the potential to completely transform any situation, and the decisions each of us make at those times define our lives. Right now I am putting everything on the line to follow my dreams. It’s exciting and terrifying all at the same time, and when I look back I want to be able to say I wasn’t afraid to step out on the ledge and really live life to the fullest.

It’s not easy when you come to those pivotal moments in life; it takes motivation, courage, and vision to follow your dreams. Never limit yourself and always go after your dreams. Don’t let anyone or anything get in your way; it’s time to step out and do those things that are in your heart. Remember that when life is hard, it only makes us stronger.

I’ve shared a moment and person that really motivated me and helped me get to the next level: I’d love to year your stories and what motivates you in the comment section below. Thanks for taking the time to watch my blog!

xoxo,

Ilyse

    Ilyse!!
I loved the video blog! I had no idea you went to Point Park. I graduated from there in (ah hem) 1995! So was the teacher Doug Bentz? What a great example of taking criticism and not letting it beat you down. We all have choice how we are going to use the information we get. You rose above the voices in your head. That’s half the battle. Thanks so much for sharing this. ~Karyn

I love this video blog. For me, I had to get past my own insecurities about trying choreographed dance classes. I would see Ilyse’s classes at the studio and think, “I’d love to do that, but it looked too hard for me.” But Ilyse just continued to encourage me to try.

Initially, I was always going left when everyone else was moving to the right. I felt like I was out of control, but I just had to tell myself that in time I will get better. After about 4 classes, I started seeing progress and that MOTIVATED me. I was learning how to learn!

It’s not easy to try something new, especially when it looks hard, but I am now hooked on learning all different styles of choreography. There is such a great feeling that comes from finishing a choreographed class and knowing that you got it! Thank you Ilyse for motivating me to try Dancinerate. I love it!
